What Jikoreel is
Jikoreel is a tool that lets you record a video in your browser, apply a background effect, and generate a shareable link. Recording and background processing both happen in your own browser — Jikoreel's servers only come into play once you choose to upload a finished video to get a shareable link.
No review of video content
Videos are stored and served automatically. Nobody at Jikoreel reviews, moderates, watches, or screens the content of videos before or after they're uploaded, unless we're specifically investigating a report of abuse. Uploading and playback are fully automated.
No responsibility for content
You are solely responsible for the content of any video you record and share using Jikoreel. Jikoreel does not review, endorse, verify, or take responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of any video content, or for how a video is used once you share its link with someone else. You agree not to use Jikoreel to record or share content that is illegal, harassing, or infringes on someone else's rights.
Automatic deletion after 2 months
Every video is automatically deleted from storage 2 months (60 days) after it was uploaded. Once deleted, its shareable link stops working — anyone who visits an expired link will see a message that the video has expired, with an option to record a new one. There is no way to extend this period or recover a video after it's deleted; if you need a video to remain available longer than 2 months, keep your own copy separately before it expires.
What we store
We store the video file itself and the date it was uploaded, tied to a randomly generated link — we don't require an account or collect your name to record and share a video. If you contact support, we'll have whatever information you send us in that message.
Payment
Payments for videos longer than the free tier are processed by PayPal. Jikoreel does not store your payment card or PayPal account details — that information is handled entirely by PayPal under its own privacy policy.
